About

About {Himnish Jain}

I'm an AI software engineer who's curious about how technology and finance shape each other. I like building AI-driven systems, working with data at scale, and finding practical ways to turn ideas into tools people actually use: the kind of work that ends up in someone's hands, not just a slide.

That curiosity has taken me across disciplines: two separate degrees at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (a BS in Computer Science and a BS in Statistics), a minor in economics, and now the engineering and business worlds at the same time. I'm eager to pair my technical skills with a genuine interest in business development and people management, to build things collaboratively and drive results that matter.

Graduated with 97.5%, placing in the top 1% nationally in the ISC Grade 12 examinations. Silver Medallist and winner of the Mehta Trophy.

I care about trust, consistency, ownership, and community. I'm collaborative and analytical, outgoing but reflective, and I've spent a lot of my life building communities, as a Senior Resident Advisor, a Lead Teaching Assistant, and a Class Representative. I learn best across disciplines, and I think the interesting problems live where fields overlap: computer science, statistics, economics, and business.

Long term, I want to found and build a technology company: products with real-world impact, ideally at the intersection of technology and finance. I'm drawn to work that combines technical depth, leadership, and business strategy, and I'm always happy to meet people building in tech, finance, or anywhere else.
